Our Mission
Welcome to the Center for Child Care Careers Vocational School. 4CS Center for Child Care Careers is dedicated to training and educating post-secondary students to provide quality early care and education, and agency/center management.
We recruit students from all levels of experience, beginners to program directors. We empower our students to appropriately educate and care for children and be employed in child-care centers/nursery schools, public schools, family child-care and in-home providers. All instruction is provided by recognized leaders in the field of early care and education and management.
Our Philosophy
4CS The Center for Child Care Careers is founded on the principle that young children should be provided with quality early care and education. It offers interested persons the opportunity to develop, improve and enhance their abilities and skills and prepare for advancement in the field. The school offers high quality education and training and does not deny admissions on the basis of race, religion, age, creed, color, sex, disability, national origin or sexual orientation.
Our History
4CS of Passaic County, Inc. (4CS), originally founded in 1971, has been offering training since its inception. 4CS The Center for Child Care Careers was established in 1996 in order to offer individuals in the field of early care and education the opportunity to improve their skills and advance their careers.
The New Jersey Department of Education approved 4CS The Center for Child Care Careers as a vocational school in 1997.
Our Future
The vocational school offers courses and workshops in many areas including Child Development, Health Education, Parenting Skills and CPR/1st Aid. Courses are tailored to suit the needs of students and are offered in Spanish and English. In addition, we design and conduct onsite in-service training programs for child-care center staff addressing the unique needs of that center.
As we move forward and continue to serve the early childhood community, we look forward to adding more programs and services aligned with our philosophy of providing interested persons the opportunity to develop, improve and enhance their abilities and skills.
